I have not even looked at my work here, yet you all made my day, just reading the most recent round of messages. lol :D
If you intend to become a member of the pfishy Club, Attmixer, you need to do your homework diligently, and have your assignments handed in on time, or it is back to the varsity classroom for you, son. I believe Harry is making light of mis-delivered Form letters. He is not serious, or rather, ought not to be. Sparky and others have on occasion received form-letter replies which partially generated from The Dark Star but sent to the *wrong* persons in certain paragraphs. It sounds like Harry was mocking this while cooped in his little chicken pen. ;)
Thank you for posting, Mark. It is a shame that we all did not meet on pfishy at the same time. Because it was *your* early story which woke some gentlemen to start advising others to use pay networks like PayPal, rather than WorldPay. This discussion seems like years ago, now.
Unfortunately for my colleague, myself and many others, we were unaware. WorldPay is not worthy of mention now. Bear in mind that with PayPal they do have a *45-day* limit on filing Disputes. Having used PayPaly on eBay in the past, I find them extremely reliable.
According to others, WorldPay, however, will not even assist you; once you have paid: Congratulations you just bought yourself some choice swamp-land in Floriday, they could not care any less if you have been defrauded, extorted, or left for roadkill on the dating highway of life.
Your enlightment Mark will hopefully open others' eyes. What I find personally amazing is how certain victims *continue* to rationalize their plight. As you mentioned, there are enough posts on the internet suggesting that somehow the Agency is unilaterally pulling the wool over your eyes, that it is just an "honest" error of multiple "translators" blundering, or that there was a miscommunication (not to mention names, but I believe we all know who we are talking about here ;) ). It misses that point that the gentlemen were being mislead and defrauded *to begin with*. Does it really matter that a second (or third translator) continued to churn out inert replies with no meaning while you arrived in China expecting to see the Dream of your Life?
Then, to return home only to find more replies from Translator No. 2, and No. 3 advising you that "Yes, I'm so happy you are coming to China. I am looking forward to meeting you (unless, of course, you are really serious at which time I am going to advise you that I can not make it, and tell you 'Maybe next time' or have you wait at the agency office at the last minute to see if we can call the lady up). Your story stands the test of time because the manner in which the scam was revealed unintentionally. You are a gentlemen who travels to China often, so the mere fact you happened to be abroad and decided to meet your lady did not allow chnlove or its agencies to plot in advance how to reply to your case. If all gentlemen could do the same it would say a lot about what is truly going on with this outfit.
In retrospect, had we all met at the same time, perhaps we would have been more discreet in how we paid chnlove (using PayPal) and, as well, not having to understand our stories beyond 45-days with PayPal to file our dispute for fake services and expenditures.
I believe Sparky articulated it the best in the most recent posts of his. He wrote that: in the case of the legitimate ladies, they ought to be advised that *their* interests are not being best served by chnlove and its "agencies", either.
For the most part, our discussions and that of the internet, seems to have dwelled on the plight of gentlemen, either too unaware, or too gullible to realize what takes place until it is too late.
Perhaps more should be written about how to educate *Chinese* ladies to avoid such scam agencies / and clown companies like chnlove, and how they might be able to search for available gentlemen abroad without having to be taken advantage of by the dregs of society.
I have held off writing this for a while now: But when I look at their situation, it causes me to think that it is no different than the early immigrants of the immigrant diaspora worldwide who were forced to live lives of indentured servitude (spending entire lives having to pay back unscrupulous compradors for the "privilege" of going abroad). The only difference, it seems for chnlove and its agencies is that they expect ladies to either be party to the scam in order to pay off their "Success Fee" to which they are now bound, or pray that their gentlemen will do so for them.
Have a great morning. I need to get some work done here. I may throw my computer out the window like Sparky. ;) And thanks for the great start to my morning! You are Quality, gentlemen. :D
