Good to chat with you Soth. Whatever happens I hope you will keep us updated. We have many posts of guys who were scammed, but of the unfolding stories (recent) we often hear the first part, then nothing. It is like they all "disappear". Hopefully it is because some found happiness and not because they are now in the midst of legal action or international complaint.
I forgot to address another of your notes. I can see why they advertise in China that marrying 'foreigners' is a way to upgrade their lifestyle, but as I wrote a while ago, my colleague who is Chinese received *more* response than me. *But* he also lost more money than me! lol. He should know better because it is the same story when we bet on the ponies (racetrack).
My point is that there is a lot of obvious misrepresentation out there and chnlove does absolutely nothing to hide it or answer to it.
Conversely, I have gone on before about how not all the gentlemen who join are 'gentlemen' either so I have tried to maintain perspective from all sides much as I know I may later regret it. Giving benefit of the doubt is not always a good thing. Unfortunately some see it as a sign of "weakness" and are only to happy to exploit it. Enough said. :D
Have a nice trip and keep in touch. If you talk to Chnlove, tell them there are some gentlemen who have bags of money but "want to see the goods *first*". ;)
