Hello Gentlemen:

  • Hello Gentlemen:

A while ago, I recommended you all look at other, serious networks in your quest for a future partner. I have been out of the loop because I have been taking my own advice. ;)

When another colleague heard some of the stories presented here, she promptly brought up a younger friend she has known for a while. So, just ask and ye shall receive. lol.

I will try to continue to contribute to pfishy where I can. I would like to offer my own list of General Tips that I started a couple of weeks ago. Please add your suggestions and we can watch all of our lists grow. :D

If you are stuck on using Chnlove despite its obvious flaws and major short-comings:

    1. Go to China *only* if you were planning to already (e.g., business trip).

    2. Don't spend inordinate money on EMFs. There is no point. You are wooing the Translator to begin with, and how do you define chemistry until you show up in person. So, make initial contact with at least a handful of potential matches. (In one infamous story posted on the internet, a failed Suitor ended up salvaging his trip *not* through the help of Chnlove or the Agency, but through meeting a girlfriend of the 'lady' who 'dumped' him. In another, the Suitor was told only a week before his planned visit by the lady, "Maybe next time".)

    3. Take a crash (or long-term) course in Chinese or pray that the lady you meet has some comprehension of your language. The odds that your relationship will fail is extremely high, even within the first two years of your marriage, assuming you even manage to reach that far.

    4. Have your trip schedule filled in advance with primary activities to mitigate the scam-nature of chnlove ("Plan B" is actually meeting the lady, *not* your "Plan A").

    5. When paying online, look at Pay Networks like PayPal who have a policy of refunds in place. *Avoid* WorldPay and other companies who have not policy for disputing transactions.

    6. If you receive unsolicited email at any point of your search, or even after you close your account, that leads back to an (older) Agency representative asking if you are still single, consider that it may actually be a Chnlove representative who is interested in you and decided to "save you" for herself. Your call.

    Just another reminder to Newcomers:

You can submit the Profile ID, name and/or Agency of the lady or ladies you found suspicious (even if it is the doing of the Agency or "translator" and the lady is not to blame), the email address is:

    friendly_ideas (a) yahoo. com

All submissions are treated anonymously so use whatever means you wish. If we generate a large number of results, we will post the Agency Nos., or find a way to display the information in a way that will show any recurring negative experiences of the posters.

    Have a good evening. :D
