Except for private email with the regulars recently, I too do not have as much time to spend here, having met a couple of ladies in person through my Chinese colleague at work. I have known him and his family for a while now and many of his circle are Chinese or Asian as well. I have said like others - if you are lucky to find such a friend, you have a friend for life.
He had told me after vacation time that his request for private email with his chnlove lady did not go very far. That he asked a mutual friend to translate but that the lady invariably stopped replying. Unlike me, he finds chnlove funny (comical), he does not get upset, as I had at the outset.
I would agree with you whole-heartedly, Michael. There are many gentlemen on the Chnlove forum, and the other forums that were subsequently created, who need to seriously examine their place in chnlove. I myself live comfortably as do most of my colleagues. And I can say that undertaking a serious commitment under ths circumstances prescribed by the chnlove arrangement, assuming one gets that far, is not a laughing matter.
How these fellows expect chnlove to help them secure companionship is beyond the comprehension of most. But, ironically, it is the fact that they are in the midst of careers or jobless that entitites like chnlove are able to exploit for their own good.
Just as a matter of obvious advice, look realistically at the options offered in life. Finding companionship is a worthy pursuit. But for those who are not currently of high economic means, look elsewhere. Not only will you find more fruitful paths, you may actually end up with what you are looking for.
I am happy for the regulars who have been making progress, without having to be distracted and defrauded in the process.
