Hello jlburk56, welcome to Pfishy. I think you have the rules of the game under your belt well enough. All the best to you, here's hoping things work out for you.
If all the gentlemen want to add to this list, here is my checklist of advice, rendered from all the contributors' comments:
1. Go to China only if you were planning to alreaday.
2. Don't spend inordinate money on EMFs. There is no point. You are wooing the Translator to begin with, and how do you define chemistry until you show up in person. So, make initial contact with at least a handful of potential matches. (Besides Chnlove/Agency already knows the 'real story' from their end - they have your match picked out from their available list and if they do not but things get too hot, they will send you the infamous "Maybe next time," if you suddenly announce you are coming.
3. Take a crash (or long-term) course in Chinese or pray that the lady you meet has some comprehension of your language.
4. Have your trip scheduled filled in advance (your "Plan B").
5. If you receive unsolicited email at any point of your search that leads back to an older Agency representative consider that it may actually be a Chnlove representative who is interested in you. Your call.
Just another reminder:
If you can please submit the Profile ID, name and/or Agency of the lady or ladies you found suspicious (even if it is the doing of the Agency or "translator"), the email address is:
friendly_ideas (a) yahoo. com
All submissions are treated anonymously so use whatever means you wish, although I see most are using their regular email addresses in any event.
Mr. Sparky: I have not received your submission as of yet, but if you prefer to keep it confidential, will still have the same respect for you. :D
