Hey coucou - thanks for suggesting dateinasia. it's all good. :) what I do LIKE about it (on top of being free with full access .. lol) is that most ladies ARE real, you can see how many ppl are online, and most can communicate in English. But after Instant Messaging with the ones I was interested in, I really did find much cream in the crop. If anything, I started getting a lot of ladies listed under "Hong Kong" who were actually from the Philippines working as domestics and wanting to find a guy so they could improve their economic conditions.
You are right, HongKongCupid does not have many active users. One time the meter said there were 20-some people online! (dateinasia, meanwhile, had 6-7000 during the peak periods with lots of activity).
I think you and Luke did a good job minimizing your risks (getting web video confirmation of the ladies, etc.). When you mentioned about reloading your credit pack, all I can say is, been there, done it. Just when I thought I would stop, I didn't. And I'm now certain-like some of the others wrote-that my "gifts" to the ladies were never actually delivered. If Chnlove is not going to honest or open, then I think the strategy is to identify a number of possible choices, make inital contact, and then do all the communication when you actually get to China. What's the point of throwing good money after bad, right? I think that's what most of us should have done, hindsight being 20-20 (lol). What I wouldn't recommend is what I did - and that was to narrow my possiblities to only 2 or 3, spend lots of money on emails and gifts on them (and keep sinking more money into credits from abroad).
When is your Big Trip a go? :) Have a safe trip coucou, and hope you can follow up on Pfishy when you get back. I wrote a review for that AgencyScams website, but I don't think it is updated that often. It hasn't been posted (at least not yet) by the webmaster moderator.
