But you need a guide if you go to a place like China. So its easier if you meet somebody in advance you can still just call it a holiday.
Not a single one i contacted on any of the sites-and i had a lot of interest-knew anything about the West anything about Visa's or anything about the cost of it all yet they are supposed to be serious about marriage.
They want YOU to do all the thinking all the chasing and pay for the entire thing from beginning to end. Its a suckers game.
i would encourage you and anyone else to save for a trip and go to china directly. it seems money better spent than using it on websites, at least the ones charging fees from the very outset.
most of my time recently has been readng the sites on destinations and requirements for visiting visas, etcetera. at the very least, you can always say you had a nice experience travelling to another country.
ahv, thats an interesting post. Do you know how much they pay to have their profiles posted and what they have to pay the agencies if they meet and marry a guy ?
As you say most of them are looking for a way out of China. Looking at the success stories these are mostly plain looking guys so its easy to see what the trade-off is.
Even if you have the dollars its taking a big, big risk and ive read some real horror stories from those men who actually went all the way a year of two after marriage.
If you're a glutton for punishment with more money than common sense go ahead otherwise hit the dump button.

One thiing more, the pictures are not fake, but the photoshop works a lot, is a good thing to ask for more pictures, not from studio, real pictures, after some money they send.
