Nia hao Harold

  • Nia hao Harold......thought you might appreciate that (:-)

The BTA (before travel allowance) scams go by many different names.
At one time, travel deposits were a fact in some cases, but have been done away with long ago. Am not aware of ANY country where it is still practiced.
All a person has to do is call "Customs and Immigration" or similar agency in YOUR OWN country. to check it out. You can also check with your local police department, as they will be WELL aware of this and MANY similar scams.

Type in "Nigerian Scams" and you will get some very good insite to this and other scams. Even the Nigerian government have warnings there about this "crap", but "scamers" also use this in connection with other countries as well.

I did try to post a note on Chnlove's "FORUM" under "ask an experienced member" answering to "deposit required to travel overseas ??", but as they censor the responses, my reply didn't get posted for some reason......(:-)) All the other responses "supported" the theory of BTA's being necessary.
I will try to add a bit more when I have time, but for now....it"s back to work for "the ol' fart"
