I'm not disagreeing there's a sucker born every day (P.T. Barnum quote), but things are always changing every day (never mind, every year). So, I think most guys "get it," if they don't then they aren't reading much or doing much travelling.
I agree about the misrepresentation. Not just the complaints but even the trends.
Fewer people are getting easily scammed; more people are confirming the fakery and bogus "form" replies, etc..
The world is quickly shrinking while communication is pretty fast now.
