I was the lone wolf among my crowd for a while coz none (I mean NONE) of my friends would go near FACEBOOK. I was always telling them-Come ON it's great- you can keep up to date, etc.
My pals said-You IDIOT. The FBI has actually used Facebook for investigations. And Facebook didn't even put up much of a fight to protect privacy. THEN they have all these tiny tiny tiny words in their Agreement- They get to keep your photos, your information, your comments, etc as long as THEY want. Even when you delete the crap.
So, if you are trying to "IMPRESS" that new employer you are applying to during this, um, Recession. Guess what? They could see old photos your girlfriend left up of you tossing your cookies at the last conference Sparky hosted with the lampshade on your head and all.
The other thing is that FACEBOOK is soooo anal about using your real name, and filling out their stoopid Profile form, etc. That's why I finally took my profile off and said, Forget this man.
Another pal called it "internet crack" coz a lot of people (especially young women) spend their entire lives in front of the screen. (just like the guys suckered into using web-cam-ing with chnlove ladies ... LOL) ;) ...
