As a hoot, one day I decided to fill out the very basic eharmony
questions, take the tests, and view my matches. I was determined not to pay for the
service, just to view my matches. I thought I would get perhaps 4-5 matches, assuming
eharmony's system was very selective. I did not include a picture, and gave only the basic
information. To my surprise, the number of matches overwhelmed me! Hundreds, yes hundreds
of matches.....and all within my specified 100 mile search radius. Now, I'm 59 years old...and was
searching for matches within the 55-65 year range. However, I couldn't even begin to imagine
asking and answering questions from so many women...and no way would they let me even answer or
ask questions, or see a picture, unless I paid up front. Within a week I had received almost
100 matches, and contacted zero. Strange, with so little information eharmony managed to match
me up with so many women. The locations of these matches started out close by, then as
time went on, the distance grew until my matches included women from
other states....far too distant to bother communicating. A pattern emerged....every morning
I would get 10 new matches, one email for each match. It got to be too much, and I realized
that I could be perfect matches with all those women. The matches were free as they advertised,
but I wonder how many would really be good matches. Guess I'll never find out, because
I'm not paying. It's expensive, and appears very time consuming. Love should not be so difficult.
