MD is a joke. There is a group of trolls on the site that gang together and bash anyone they don't like. I was a member for months and I noticed right away in chat and in the blogs/forums the bullies that try to direct the way the site runs. It pretty much runs that way too because the site moderators support this small group and they mods jump right in with their barbed statements to anyone that complains about this group. I huge personal attack was recently launched on 2 ladies that I observed. One left the site permanently (she has not been the first by any means, and the other stood her ground only to be bashed worse). The group that is the object of all this hate did only one thing that I saw and that was to have an opposing view to the mod supported group. This is supposed to be a dating site, yet the ones causing all the grief are either plainly stating they are not there to find a relationship, or are already married/in a relationship.
The site boasts that it has 650,000 active members but if you logon to the site, there are rarely over 500 members signed on at any one time. They boost their numbers to make themselves look good.
Another bad thing about the site is that the scammers run rampant. There are actually more scammer profiles being created everyday than there are actual 'real' profiles.
If you are into self mutilation, being abused, called names and just down right treated mean and hateful and told, they hope you leave the site, by all means join Matchdoctor. It would be just the kind of place you would like to be a member of.
I would rate this the worst dating site on the internet. A disgruntled exmember. By the way, this group got wind that people were going to try to contact the owners of the site by posting negative reviews. The mods went through the forums and blogs and deleted anything derogatory that they have commented on and posted so that there is no proof that they ever did such a thing. Many members did copy the statements, blogs and forums and are waiting to present them to the owners of the site as proof positive.
