Don't feel all alone, Shannon, I have had the same experience with Mate 1. I registered just so I could "cruise" the site, giving a SPECIFIC age and distance range. I know of others in my same city who are also on the site, and within the same parameters, but they have never been referred to me.
However, I have been given VERY many referrerals for young girls, who are too young for my sons, and from every state in USA. NONE within driving distance.
Read all the revue comments VERY CAREFULLY, and don't expect much from web sites.
ALL the web sites are plagued with "slime balls" and "scum bags" who are ready to take advantage of the honest and unsuspecting.
As one of the guys on the Chnlove review site said, your best luck is to "shop locally". That is really good advice unless you can afford to get ripped off, or suffer a broken heart.
Keep in mind that MANY of the positive comments are posted by the very ones who operate the site, and they also post negative comments about other web sites. BELIEVE ONLY WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE TRUE
